Appeals Board (University Committee)

Committee Description

The Appeals Board (formerly known as the Committee on the Judicial System) is the university’s appellate body associated to non-academic student misconduct violations of the “Code of Student Conduct.” The Board is comprised of two faculty members, two staff members, and two full-time undergraduate students and one full-time graduate student. When convened, one faculty member will serve as the Chair of the committee and will meet with one staff member and one student member to review whether a student’s submitted appeal meets the appropriate criteria within the “Code of Student Conduct.” Board members participate in mandatory trainings related to the policies and procedures of the “Code of Student Conduct.” The Board is convened as necessary throughout the course of an entire calendar year. Faculty and staff appointments are for a term of two years.
